Georgia’s famous quail hunting tradition continues at Cedar Hill Lake Retreat. Our fast flying birds, spectacular bird dogs, and professional guides make for a great wing shooting experience for the seasoned quail hunter as well as the first timer. We customize your hunt to meet your personal needs. Jeeps pulling bird buggies will take you to your hunting area. Walking behind the well-trained bird dogs to fully enjoy the hunting experience is encouraged, but walking can be minimized if required or requested. Although we are flexible in helping you fulfill your hunting desires, we emphasize SAFETY and will not compromise our SAFETY program:
We only hunt up to 2 hunting parties per day, limiting the number of hunters to 6 per day.
For our guests that are hunting the day only, the following is our schedule:
Arrive the day before your hunt and enjoy some warm up shooting, making a few casts, or exploring the place followed by dinner @ 7:00 PM
The next day breakfast is served @ 7:30AM
The morning hunt begins @ 8:45AM and concludes @ 11:45AM
Lunch is served @ 12:30PM
The afternoon hunt begins @ 2:00PM and concludes @ 5:00PM
For our guests that are hunting the day only, the following is our schedule:
Half Day Hunts begin @ 9:00 AM and concludes @ 12:00 Noon
Full Day Hunts begin @ 9:00 AM and concludes @ 3:00PM
We also offer Continental Pheasant “Tower” Shoots. Our 30foot tall tower stands in the middle of the 12 shooting stations that circle the tower. 200 Pheasants are released one at a time for some fast and challenging shooting. After the shoot, you will enjoy a nice lunch under the pavilion by the fireplace or on the patio overlooking the lake. The birds will be cleaned and split among the shooters. If you have a Rooster that you want mounted, we can have that arranged for you. This type shoot is challenging for the experience hunter and will be exciting and manageable for the novice. You can also book a hunt exclusive to you and your group. It makes for a great corporate outing.
